چکیده

In the absence of contact, several solutions have been proposed for skin deformations. In his hand animation system MOP, Catmull proposed a hand envelop made up of polygons in 1972 (5), spheres and B-splines were proposed by Badler and Morris in 1981 for hand deformations (6), Bézier surfaces were used by Komatsu for arm deformations (7), Magnenat-Thalmann et al. (8) used operators which are adjustable links between the skeleton and the skin, and more recently, Chadwick et al. (9) used a kind of "exoskeleton" which is a parallelepiped lattice to control skin deformations.

A COMPARATIVE STUDY BETWEEN EXPRESSION OF A SYNTHETIC GENE OF HUMAN BASIC FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTOR (hbFGF) AND ITS RELATED cDNA IN ESCHERICHIA COLI

The gene encoding the human basic fibroblast growth factor (hbFGF) has been already chemically-synthesized and cloned in pET-3a expression vector (Pasteur Institute of Iran). In the present study, we compared the level of expression of this synthetic hbFGF and its related cDNA in Escherichia coli. The pBR322-cDNA of hbFGF supplied by Dr. Seno (from Molecular Biology Dept, Okaido prefectural uni...

Finite Elements in Task-Level Animation

This paper addresses the problem of grasping rigid and deformable objects in a task-level animation system. After an introduction on task planning and grasping, it emphasizes the use of FEM for modeling both elastically and plastically deformations of objects, and impacts with or without penetration between deformable objects. A numerical method based on finite element theory allows us to take ...

Modeling Static Bruising in Apple Fruits: A Comparative Study, Part II: Finite Element Approach

ABSTRACT- Mechanical damage degrades fruit quality in the chain from production to the consumption. Damage is due to static, impact and vibration loads during processes such as harvesting, transportation, sorting and bulk storage. In the present study finite element (FE) models were used to simulate the process of static bruising for apple fruits by contact of the fruit with a hard surface. Thr...

Modeling of Air Relative Humidity Effect on Adhesion Force in Manipulation of Nano-Particles and its Application in AFM

In this paper, the effect of air relative humidity and capillary force on contact geometry of surfaces based on JKR model by Atomic force microscopy was investigated in order to manipulate nano-particles. With transition from macro to nano-scale, the effect of surface forces becomes more significant in comparison with inertial force. Because contact mechanics models are based on surface energy ...

مروری بر تماس با فتالات‌ها و سمیت آنها

The dialkyl- or alkyl/aryl esters of 1, 2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, which are known as Phthalates, are high-production volume synthetic chemicals and considered as environmental pollutants, due to high production and uses in community, plastics industry and common consuming products. Di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) is the most abundant phthalate in the environment. Human exposure with DEHP c...
